Our virtual consultation service is a simple, affordable solution for anyone that needs a physician order.

Submit the form on this page along with a $40 payment and a provider licensed to prescribe diagnostic imaging will give you a call within four (4) business hours for a phone consultation. Based on your conversation, the provider will write the necessary imaging or lab work orders and send them to RadiologyAssist for scheduling.

The times stated are typical and mostly true but not a guarantee. This is a relatively new and complex service that RadiologyAssist provides for our patients convenience. There are many moving parts and turn around times could be longer at times. We ask for your patience and understanding.

Business hours are Mon-Fri 9am – 5pm (CST). A request submitted at 4pm on Friday, should be completed by 12 pm Monday.

The all-inclusive cost of the virtual consult is $40. The virtual consultation service is intended to be an affordable option to receive a imaging referral.

Yes. All virtual consult patients will speak with a real provider that is licensed to prescribe imaging.

No. Please see our turn around time question above but this is not guaranteed, our virtual consultation program is designed for non-emergent situations only. You should NOT use this service if you are experiencing a medical emergency or if you have any pressing time commitment matter.

While we meet out turn around times consistently, we are still not at a level where we can guarantee that 100% of consult requests submitted are turned around in a particular time. Please do not use this service for emergency situations.

No. Providers only write orders for what they deem medically appropriate.

RadiologyAssist uses third party telemedicine providers for this service. It has no control over which provider you will speak with. The only guarantee that we make is that the provider is licensed to write an order for diagnostic imaging if required.

Yes. At this time we are only able to accommodate virtual consults for patients over the age of 18.

The referral is sent to RadiologyAssist directly. If you would like a copy of the referral, please call us once the consult is completed and a representative can send you the referral.

Most imaging centers will hand patients reports upon request. Some select imaging centers insist that patients receive reports from the ordering physician. If this is the case, please call RadiologyAssist to obtain the report.

Yes but it will be considered a separate consultation requiring an additional consultation payment. For follow up consults, please email your reports to the provider support line so that they have access to your imaging reports for the consultation.
